The volume

Everything the exam covers, in one place.

Cardiac Codex is a full learning system, not a question bank bolted to a PDF. Six parts work together — read, drill, self-test, and ask — across both the RCIS and RCES blueprints.

I

Slide-based lessons

177 lessons delivered as clean, paginated slides you can move through a card at a time — with an "Ask Coach about this" button on every slide.

Cardiac Coach (AI)

A tutor that answers in plain English, grounded in the curriculum — reachable from any lesson or missed question. It cites what it knows and says so when it doesn't.

Grounded, not guessing
Cardiac Coach

A study partner that's grounded, not guessing.

Most "AI tutors" are a blank chat box that will confidently invent an answer. Coach retrieves from the real Cardiac Codex curriculum before it responds — so the help you get is tied to what you're actually being tested on.

  • Retrieved from the curriculumFull-text search over the same lessons and concept glossary you study — not freeform generation.
  • Knows your contextAsk straight from a lesson slide or a question you just missed — Coach already knows what you're looking at.
  • Short answer firstA few sentences or labeled steps, then it offers to go deeper — instead of burying you in a wall of text.
  • Honest about limitsWhen something isn't in the curriculum, Coach says so instead of making it up.

Cardiac Coach is a study aid, not clinical advice. Always verify care decisions with a qualified colleague and your institution's protocols.

How it works

Point yourself at the exam and go.

Set up once, then let the app steer your study time to where it counts.

1

Pick your track

Choose RCIS, RCES, or both, and set your target exam date. A short diagnostic finds your starting point so you're not re-reading what you already know.

2

Learn & drill

Work through slide lessons, hammer practice questions, flip flashcards, and ask Coach whenever something doesn't click — all grounded in one curriculum.

3

Prove it

Watch concept mastery climb, review every question you miss, and — from launch — sit full-length mock exams built to the blueprint before the day that counts.

Who it's for

Built for the floor, not just the exam.

Whether a certification date is on your calendar or you just want fast, grounded answers mid-shift — Cardiac Codex speaks the language of the cath lab and the EP suite.

RN

Cath Lab & EP nurses

Solidify hemodynamics, pharmacology, and procedural steps — and get a grounded answer without paging the charge nurse.

Tech

CVIS technologists

Procedural, imaging, and hemodynamic questions answered in context, backed by a curriculum built for invasive cardiology.

RCIS

RCIS candidates

Cath lab hemodynamics, imaging, and diagnostic and interventional work — mapped to the RCIS blueprint end to end.

RCES

RCES candidates

EP studies, device therapy, and arrhythmia management — a dedicated track, plus two full-length RCES mock exams at launch.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What exactly is Cardiac Codex?

A complete exam-prep and learning app for the RCIS and RCES certifications — and for working cath lab and EP staff. It bundles 177 slide-based lessons, 2,233 practice questions, 239 concept illustrations, flashcards, mastery tracking, and Cardiac Coach, an AI tutor grounded in the same curriculum. Four full-length mock exam forms are written and loaded, and the timed exam-taking experience arrives at launch.

Does it cover both RCIS and RCES?

Yes. The curriculum spans both blueprints — RCIS (cath lab hemodynamics, imaging, and procedural work) and RCES (EP studies, device therapy, and arrhythmia management). You pick your track — RCIS, RCES, or both — and the app tailors your study around it. Of the four mock exam forms, two target RCIS and two target RCES; they become available when the timed exam experience ships at launch.

How is Cardiac Coach different from a normal chatbot?

Coach answers by retrieving from the real curriculum — full-text search over the lessons and concept glossary — instead of generating freeform. You can ask it right from a lesson slide or a question you just missed, so it already has the context. When a topic isn't covered, it tells you rather than guessing. It's a study aid, not a substitute for clinical judgment.

How much will it cost?

We'll publish plans and pricing when checkout opens — we'd rather show you a price you can actually act on than one you can't. What we can tell you now: there will be no tiers and no locked chapters, so whatever plan you pick unlocks the whole curriculum, Cardiac Coach, and all four mock exams once they ship. Join the waitlist and you'll get the details first.

I have an access code — how do I use it?

Create a free account in the app and redeem your code from the redemption screen. It unlocks the same complete access as a paid plan, with no purchase required. Access codes are single-use.

Is it affiliated with CCI or a certifying body?

No. Cardiac Codex is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or any other certifying body. Working through the content doesn't guarantee a passing score — it's built to make that outcome a lot more likely.

When can I buy it?

Soon. Payments are in final testing now. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment public checkout opens — you'll be among the first to get in.

What's your refund policy?

Fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial periods, except where required by law. If something has gone wrong on our end, email info@cardiaccodex.com and we'll look at it case by case. Full terms are in our Terms of Service.

What devices does it run on?

Any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer — there's nothing to install. Native iOS and Android apps are planned but not released yet, so today you use it on the web. An internet connection is required; there's no offline mode at the moment.

How long does access last, and does it auto-renew?

That depends on the plan you pick, and we'll publish the details when checkout opens. What we can commit to now: any one-time pass will state its length up front and will not auto-renew — access simply ends when the term does, and you won't be charged again unless you choose to buy again.

Does the content stay current with the blueprint?

Yes. The curriculum is written against the current CCI blueprints for RCIS and RCES, and we revise it as CCI updates them. Content is under continuous review during beta — if you spot something wrong, there's a report button on every question and lesson, and we'd genuinely like to hear about it.

Can I buy for my whole lab or department?

Not yet as a self-serve option, but this comes up often and we want to support it. Email info@cardiaccodex.com with how many people you're covering and we'll work something out.
